About artificial lawn

Is artificial turf is suitable for the animals?

Yes it is. Synthetic turf is safe, unchewable, very resistant, antimicrobial and hypoallergenic. It reduces the risk of fleas and ticks. In addition, it eliminates urine and odors and allows the removal of excrement with no problem (just hose to clean). TrylawnTurf recommends Cooler for dogs and pets.

Is there a warranty on synthetic turf?

All our products are guaranteed between 6 and 10 years against UV index.

What is the lifetime of the synthetic turf?

It is estimated that artificial turf will last 15 to 20 years from normal use. Our grass is treated to resist UV rays and will not show signs of discoloration up to about 8 to 10 years.

The use and maintenance of synthetic turf

Should synthetic grass be maintained?

Technically there is no need for maintenance, but it is recommended to brush the grass occasionally (in spring, for example) with a stiff broom to pull up the blades of grass. Debris and dead leaves should be removed.

To clean after your dog, simply pick up and hose with water. For strong odors, use our stop odor product.

What about water on my lawn?

Artificial turf is built on a porous surface that allows water to go through. If your installation was done following our guideline, the water from rain and melting snow in the spring should quickly pass through and leave a beautiful dry grass.

Can I put my BBQ on it?

As a precaution, we recommend placing the grill on slabs or bricks to avoid hot surfaces too close to the lawn, or staining your lawn with liquids such as BBQ sauce. Also, around the grill (or other heating device) it is preferable to install artificial turf with a sub-layer of sand.

How long can an installation take?

Our professional installers can usually install a normal sized lawn (say 100 square feet) in one day. Larger spaces or requiring more complicated field work may take up to 2-3 days. Your TrylawnTurf rep will be able to inform you of the completion time in the evaluation of the project and / or following a site visit.

Can I install the grass directly on top of the ground?

It is not recommended to install directly on the earth. A sub layer of 4" is required to ensure the life of the artificial turf. Normally, the natural grass or top layer is removed and then filled with rock or sand and compacted to allow good drainage. Preparation is key during the installation of our products.
