About purchasing artificial grass

About artificial lawn
Yes it is. Synthetic turf is safe, unchewable, very resistant, antimicrobial and hypoallergenic. It reduces the risk of fleas and ticks. In addition, it eliminates urine and odors and allows the removal of excrement with no problem (just hose to clean). We also offer a special cleaning product called Solu-odor to remove stubborn urine smell. See our selection of turfs for dogs and pets.
All our products are guaranteed between 6 and 10 years against UV index (no fading).
It is estimated that artificial turf will last 15 to 20 years from normal use. Our grass is treated to resist UV rays and will not show signs of discoloration up to about 8 to 10 years.
Use and maintenance of synthetic turf
Technically there is no need for maintenance, but it is recommended to brush the grass occasionally (in the Spring, for example) with a stiff broom to pull up the blades of grass. Debris and dead leaves should be removed.
To clean after your dog, simply pick up and hose with water. For strong odors, use our solu-odor product.
Some of our turf models have hole punched backing, allowing water to drain quickly.
A proper artificial turf installation is built on a porous surface that allows water to go through (backed rocks, sand). If your installation was done following our guideline, the water from rain and melting snow in the spring should quickly pass through and leave a beautiful dry grass.
As a precaution, we recommend placing the grill on slabs or bricks to avoid hot surfaces too close to the lawn, or staining your lawn with liquids such as BBQ sauce. Also, around the grill (or other heating device) it is preferable to install artificial turf with a sub-layer of sand.
Installation of synthetic turf

We recommend you read about the proper steps for installing synthetic turf before proceeding, and make sure you have on hand all the necessary products according to the installation guide.
The installation of artificial turf is relatively simple. If you have any DIY basic skills you will be able to install your own synthetic grass, following our instructions for a DIY install.
Our professional installers can usually install a normal sized lawn (say 100 square feet) in one day. Larger spaces or requiring more complicated field work may take up to 2-3 days. Your TrylawnTurf rep will be able to inform you of the completion time in the evaluation of the project and / or following a site visit.
Depending on the type of install: It is not recommended to install directly on the earth. A sub layer of 4″ is required to ensure the life of the artificial turf. Normally, the natural grass or top layer is removed and then filled with rock or sand and compacted to allow good drainage. Preparation is key during the installation of our products.
However, you can simply unroll fake grass on concrete on your balcony or on a rooftop, for example, making sure it is secured in place with a few nails.
